Muscle Building Workouts – The Most Important Thing
There are a lot of different muscle building workouts out there today. It seems there is a new workout routine in every issue of every muscle mag on the news stands. There are probably 50 exercises to choose from for every muscle group. How are you ever supposed to pick just one and know that it’s going to work?
Most of the guys in those muscle mags are genetic freaks. Meaning that if they just did push-ups and few times a week they would still get huge. A perfect example of this is former NFL football player Hershal Walker. He stated that he never lifted weights. For his muscle building workouts he only did push-ups. He would actually do them during the commercials while watching TV. He was a premier running back and was a monster.
That is not the case for most of us however. Some of us are born husky and so putting on weight isn’t the problem. Some of us however are born more slender with fast metabolisms. This makes gaining weight much more difficult. For a person like this also called a hard gainer. A muscle building workout using compound exercises is where it’s at.
Compound exercises are the ones the require you to use multiple muscles during the same exercise. Bench Press as instead of triceps push-downs. Squats instead of leg extensions. Dead lift instead of Lat Pull downs. By this I mean. Squat, Bench press, Deadlift. If you eat right and did just these three exercises with good intensity you would see great results.
